Not everyone knows that in its elasticised form, synthesised expanded polystyrene has excellent acoustic characteristics, vibration damping due to its low dynamic rigidity and durability under permanent loads (compressibility). In construction, its main application is for the thermal-acoustic insulation of inter-floor floors.

Elasticised polystyrene T is the most widespread product in Europe. Its application is for 'floating floors', a system in which the screed with the floor is kept separate from the rest of the structure by the use of elastic materials with low dynamic rigidity values.
